The Problem
Disasters can strike a home or a business at any time, and as extreme weather events continue to be unpredictable, the need for experienced people is available to support customers’ wants continues to be a challenge in the restoration industry. As Scott shared in our interview, “In emergency restoration, sometimes I need five workers and sometimes I need fifty.”
Being able to qualify and grow staff but instantly is something that is sorely needed in this industry, especially given the restoration business model. Finding skilled, qualified, already vetted professionals that understand what it is we do on a day-to-day basis is incredibly difficult.
The Solution
Trying to find qualified professionals while ALSO running a business is an incredibly challenging to accomplish effectively. Scott shared, “Is that really my/our responsibility?” While we’ve/I’ve gotten lucky sometimes in general mediums, where people find and apply to your website, it’s not a healthy business – way it goes all the time.

“My experience with a lot of staff agencies, and a lot of headhunters, is that what MKR is very different because it isn’t a headhunter that isn’t a large fee attached to finding you this employee. It’s not going to cost you 10%, 15%, 20% of the annual salary. Rather, it’s a hey, we’re going to put this person in and we only win when you win, right? So it’s a vested interest in RHQ’s success that is also going to make ABLEMKR successful, right?”
