The Problem
k2 has taken on a large volume of projects, and to complete the work on time and within budget, k2 Electric needed to add scale with flexible temporary workers. To do so, they engaged several providers, including ABLEMKR, in the mix of providers.
What were some of the challenges in working with current providers?
- Communication issues existed with some providers, such as timely responses to worker inquiries, timely resolution of time sheets, and worker attendance on-site.
- Ensuring workers were vetted correctly, with the required skill level, credentials, and certifications.
- Being able to “try-before-you-buy” for temporary staffing that could be converted to full-time employees, with no up-charge or fees to convert full-time.
The Solution
ABLEMKR delivered k2 the workers it needed, with fast communication to match the needs of k2 and the high quality of people expected on the job. k2 has been happy with the workers provided and is now bringing some of those resources full-time as the “try-before-you-buy” timeframe has successfully grown a full-time employee roster. Additionally, as every ABLEMKR worker must be logged in to the ABLEMKR tech solution, timesheets and accountability were a breeze!
WHAT’S NEXT FOR K2 AND ABLEMKR?
- In addition to the Worker and Contractor Apps for iOS and Android, ABLEMKR is rolling out its integrated desktop solution to provide even faster insights and transparency into worker availability. This not only improves real-time communication but also helps k2 in its efforts to continue growing its business and employee base.
- Check-in features built right into ABLEMKR make timesheet questions about who showed, who clocked in, for how long, etc., easier to access and understand. Time and attendance features to drive streamlined administration efforts and doing LESS PAPERWORK are key to making admin efforts at k2— and every contractor— seamless!
ABLEMKR is on the top list of providers for flex labor staffing at k2 and will continue to drive new initiatives to reduce or eliminate administration efforts in cultivating great employee experiences!
